The New Face of AlaskaWriters.com
June 28, 2009
The long-hinted-at AlaskaWriters site redesign is finally with us. Come on in! The changes go beyond the cosmetic. In addition to being more colorful, the site is also far easier for me to update, since it is now technically a blog. AlaskaWriters has also gone back to its roots, as a source of community inspiration and exchange of information about and for Alaska writers and their organizations.
If you are a member or supporting member, please help inaugurate the new look. Contribute your recent/upcoming book release news and other news items by the last Friday of the month to get into next month’s lineup. If you are not a member, please consider joining! Supporting memberships start at $50/year (for those not needing a home page), and—in addition to gratitude and a link to your site—get you a place in our “Books by Alaska Authors” section and the ability to promote yourself and your work via this site.*

If you haven’t listened to it before, “Hold this Thought” is a daily, 1-minute thought from literature, history, or culture designed to inspire reflection and conversation. The “thoughts” were submitted by listeners via the website www.holdthisthought.org.
